Here, they dont know how to drive. its sunny almost all year long, very little weather, yet these people cannot drive in the sun.for people like me this creates a real danger riding a motor cycle. my shift is 6 am - 2:30 pm so i miss all the traffic thank god.
Things i have seen people doing while driving, a no bullshit list:
READING a book or magazine
talking or texting
leaning over to the passenger side floor to get something
Now i really doubt everyone does these things all the time while driving, i mean come on, reading a book? your operating a death empowering machine at over 70 miles per hour with other cars around you, have some fucking consideration. no one really considers that one small act they feel that is insignificant, can cause others to be seriously injured or killed! what is my girlfriend supposed to say to my 7 year old daughter and 3 year old son when daddy does not come home and they have to see my laying motionless and lifeless for the last time in their young lives? Daddy was killed by some idiot who was reading Dean Koontz and could not put the book down?
this is inexcusable behavior while operating a motor vehicle. i feel a bit more responsible that every other driver of a car or truck or van on the road because I only listen to headphones when i ride. Sure it impairs my hearing but i can still hear above the music, i can still see the road that i am constantly looking around myself on as i troll to work and home every day. i do not have a god damn book or cell phone in my hand distracting me from the responsibilities of a licensed driver.
as i am sure you can tell, these acts on senseless negligence bother the shit out of me and i wish for my sake and other motorcycle riders sake that i never saw any of these things happen again, but they will and they do. People are not held accountable for their actions of recklessly murdering another person because they could not focus themselves long enough to commute to and from home. if you are one of these people, fuck you. straight out, you can go to hell. if you do not have the common sense and decency to respect other people lives while you are driving, you can fuck off and die. put your god damn fucking book or cell phone down and drive your stupid ass car down the road.
just keep in mind one thing when you are texting or reading while driving down the road: if i see you and i break your window, bust your mirror off, or punch your hood, maybe you should have been alert enough to see it coming instead of fucking off behind the wheel.
I completely agree. These are also the people who get mad when they get into an accident thinking its not their fault. Really? Cause if you were paying attention, it more than likely could have been avoided. In Cali, when it rains, people either freak out or think that they can drive 100 down the freeway. Most of them here do NOT know how to drive in the rain. If you cannot handle it, then maybe you should stay home so everyone else on the road will be safe from assholes. (C.R)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the woman that puts her makeup on in the rear view mirror while driving...not just at the stop light mind you, but while the vehicle is in motion! I'm not sure if that takes talent or just utter stupidity. I'm leaning towards the latter though. I once saw an Asian woman applying lipstick whilst on the phone AND DRIVING (30 in a 45 of coarse). I could only think how many stereo-types that woman was portraying at once. And don't get me started on Arizonans driving in the rain. (M.S.)
ReplyDeleteAs another rider, I can feel your pain. BUT out of all the things that just PISS me off; is when someone hits a motorcyclist *injures or kills* all they say is they typical "I didnt see them" and all they are given is a civil citation for falure to yield or failure to control their vehicle. THEY JUST KILLED SOMEONE... yet they get a $150 fine. What justification is in that?!?! Granted you could sue them civilly, but its still a crock of shit.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you about reading the book and texting, but talking on the phone??? Come on, Im not looking down at my phone, im not looking some other way that is distracting me any more than having a conversation with someone sitting in my passenger seat. Honestly, when someone is sitting in the seat next to me or even in the backseat I tend to look away more than if I have my cell phone in my ear. When I am on my cell phone in my car my eyes are forward and focused on whats around me. What pisses me off is some motorcyclist that feels the need to come up from behind me, at a way excessive speed with his bright ass bike distracting me as he/she wizzes by. Or even worse yet when some motorcyclist bob and weave between cars that are close enough to make a car diver hit his breaks from fear of hitting the dumbass.
ReplyDeleteSo, there are definitely dumbass drivers that dont have a clue what is going on around them, but also there are some dumbass motorcyclist that seem to be looking for a accident.
