MY Right to Bear Arms.

Being a gun owner is interesting. I have all these guns, all 3 of them. Then I get people asking, why do you have guns? Do you intend to shoot someone? So I answer them by saying maybe, if I need to. And then they pose the question, why would you need to?

What I don’t understand is why WOULDN’T you own a gun? Yes they are not cheap, yes they are safe if handled correctly and safely, and yes they can be a lot of fun to shoot. Just because I own a gun doesn’t automatically make me a potential murderer. If I want to defend my house or entertain myself by target or object shooting, I fully have that right. Guns are like condoms; it is better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them. ANY high school boy will tell you that. I recently went on an afternoon shooting trip with a few friends and spent countless rounds of ammo for my rifle and shotgun. We were out there for about 4 hours or so and my achievement of the day was full penetration of a 3/8” thick steel foot plate with my 30-06 Remington 700 rifle at 100 yards.

There is absolutely no practicality for this amount of power except to kill something with it, or penetrate some kind of armor. But when you can say you shot a 300 yard bull’s-eye, you can say it with a smile on your face. I recently got a .45 Taurus handgun and have yet to shoot it. It’s pretty beefy and very fluidly operational so far. But I think if it came down to it and I had to bring any of my weapons down on a person, I would hesitate to pull the trigger until the last possible moment. People argue that killing a person is the same as killing an animal. Yes and no, killing is killing. Then there is the whole controversial 2nd amendment issue. As Americans, we have the right to keep and bear arms. My dad handed me down his rifle and I am sure one day I will pass my guns down to my son.

As far back as I am able to trace in my family history, there have been instances or arms and military ranging from knighthood in England to a Civil War Captain, Air Force soldiers as well. Anymore in this day and age, we have people invading our country, killing our service people and trying to take over our towns. I for one would rather be prepared to fight for what’s mine than lay down and take it. Right to bear arms has always been a controversial topic; as an American, there is no controversy to me except for the price of ammo.

Religious bullshit

Here's how it goes.

Atheism, in a broad sense, is the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist. Atheism is contrasted with theism, which in its most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists.

Agnosticism is the view that the truth value of certain claims—especially claims about the existence or non-existence of any deity, but also other religious and metaphysical claims—is unknown or unknowable. Agnosticism can be defined in various ways, and is sometimes used to indicate doubt or a skeptical approach to questions. In some senses, agnosticism is a stance about the similarities or differences between belief and knowledge, rather than about any specific claim or belief.

These are both from Wikipedia, search them yourself for more details. It's pretty simple, its not that I do not believe in God or any other deity, I just do not choose to practice regularly or contain myself with the time involved with living a 'life of Christ". Some people may find this offensive and if you do, I am sorry for you. I do however recognize the fact that people believe in God, Buddha, Allah, etc., and that's fine with me. I am glad you have a faith in something other than humans. I believe aliens exist. I don't believe that Jesus ever existed. The Bible does not offer any semblance of comfort or fact for me because anyone can write a book, and a damn good one at that! My problem is that pretty much all religion conveys the same same thing: do what is right morally and ethically and live your life to the best of this premise as possible.

That's fine with me, you do your own thing. I know religious people are supposed to educate and enlighten people in the ways of spirituality but for the love of Stan, please do not push it on me. I almost refuse to talk religion with anyone because they can't prove me wrong and I can't prove them right. This is the classic argument recipe and I do not like to argue. I will respect your views on religion if you respect my view son non-religion. I don't want to talk God and Jesus with you, but I will give you the respect of thinking they exist and the respect of having faith and believing in them.

The two religions that bother me the most are Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons. I have one Mormon acquaintance who is a friend of my girlfriend and my daughter's godmother. I like her and have no problems with her because she respects my stand point and i respect hers. The reason the typical Mormons and JW's get on my bad side is because they seem like they want to ram their propaganda down your throat. this may or not be the case but if it is, please do not even offer it up to me, i have no interest in it.

In my personal opinion, Jesus was a zombie. He died and was supposedly resurrected. The living dead. Another thing I have a huge problem with is the facts and proof. The bible starts off pretty shady with this guy God no one can see or hear or have a beer with. He creates earth, and so on and so forth. Next thing you know there's Adam and Eve and she fucks up according to the bible and eats an apple. She likes large round objects given to her to consume by a long phallic shaped being that is supposedly a talking snake. That is just the beginning because as you read through the first parts of the bible, the further you go, the harder it is to believe. Parting seas, burning bushes, zombie deities? The list goes on and on and I, personally, cannot buy it, I am sorry.

I have said a lot already but let's just leave it at this: presently, I do not believe in a "God" type religion. No matter what you say or do, you will not be able to change my mind. Unless you bring God or Jesus down here for a good stout amber ale and some decent conversation, I have reason to doubt. I do not challenge anyone to battle me on this because I will just state my opinion on how i think and feel if someone wants to try to change my mind. I am scientific, give me facts and data and prove it to me because faith does not logically make sense or hold water. If I cant see it it does not exist.

How i hate people in cars

Here, they dont know how to drive. its sunny almost all year long, very little weather, yet these people cannot drive in the sun.for people like me this creates a real danger riding a motor cycle. my shift is 6 am - 2:30 pm so i miss all the traffic thank god.

Things i have seen people doing while driving, a no bullshit list:
READING a book or magazine
talking or texting
leaning over to the passenger side floor to get something

Now i really doubt everyone does these things all the time while driving, i mean come on, reading a book? your operating a death empowering machine at over 70  miles per hour with other cars around you, have some fucking consideration. no one really considers that one small act they feel that is insignificant, can cause others to be seriously injured or killed! what is my girlfriend supposed to say to my 7 year old daughter and 3 year old son when daddy does not come home and they have to see my laying motionless and lifeless for the last time in their young lives? Daddy was killed by some idiot who was reading Dean Koontz and could not put the book down?

this is inexcusable behavior while operating a motor vehicle. i feel a bit more responsible that every other driver of a car or truck or van on the road because I only listen to headphones when i ride. Sure it impairs my hearing but i can still hear above the music, i can still see the road that i am constantly looking around myself on as i troll to work and home every day. i do not have a god damn book or cell phone in my hand distracting me from the responsibilities of a licensed driver.

as i am sure you can tell, these acts on senseless negligence bother the shit out of me and i wish for my sake and other motorcycle riders sake that i never saw any of these things happen again, but they will and they do. People are not held accountable for their actions of recklessly murdering another person because they could not focus themselves long enough to commute to and from home. if you are one of these people, fuck you. straight out, you can go to hell. if you do not have the common sense and decency to respect other people lives while you are driving, you can fuck off and die. put your god damn fucking book or cell phone down and drive your stupid ass car down the road.

just keep in mind one thing when you are texting or reading while driving down the road: if i see you and i break your window, bust your mirror off, or punch your hood, maybe you should have been alert enough to see it coming instead of fucking off behind the wheel.
