Obamageddon - 2012

Obamageddon…

Oh how wonderful it is to have memories of a different time when things were a lot less complicated. Everyday life has taken a change for the worse and no one is doing anything to stop the out of control train that is being led by a corrupt and unconstitutional government steering everyone towards the obliteration of the American dream. The challenges we face in today’s world are repugnant of the challenges we faced 20 years ago, but have been compounded by beauracracy, government, and the world police or The United Nations as its commonly known. As the government controls everything you watch, read, eat, breathe, and produce, where is your sense of freedom that is your right? In backyard barbeques and family gatherings to celebrate holidays? No. in being the proud owner of your own home with the affordability to live a life you want to? No. how about to enjoy a career that has a prosperous future in today’s economy? Not so much. I could sit here and blame it on the president, the senate, hell even congress for making all of the changes they have made, passing law after pointless law, but it comes down to the common sense of the average American, who is gradually and systematically being dumbed down, for lack of better terms by a government controlled society.

I have read countless articles, seen pictures that number in the thousands, and heard opinions from both sides of the political spectrum. Elections aren’t even the beginning of the downfall process that leads to the dissemination of the United States of America, but rather the electoral process in which your vote counts, but it does not count; your State’s majority and the electoral college are the determining factors in the political outcome. Yet the majority saw fit to put someone in the position of ultimate power that had little to no experience, who is questionably eligible to hold that position and when, for a lack of a better definition, it was ‘given’ to him, he squandered it away, abused it and masked his actions behind a guise of refuted so-called accomplishments such as saving the industrial sector of this country and the majority of its jobs. However, to highlight this accomplishment, other more critical industry in the country is plagued with unemployment, layoffs, and an economy that is a systematic self-collapse from which may not be recoverable in the foreseeable future. What good is an automotive industry with a country that is unemployed and cannot buy its products? This is reminiscent of the Oroborous, the snake that circles back on its tail; you can’t have the job without the car, you can’t have the car without the job… and so on and so forth.

Granted, there are a great number of Americans, who can make their situations work for their dependencies, however, there is an even greater number who have to struggle to simply survive. Furthering that fact is the notion of getting ahead in the job market by getting an education which inherently puts you in debt; when you graduate and the economy takes its toll on your career field, you are left with no job and a student loan debt that in exponentially increasing because of mounting interest rates. When the principle increases because of the compounding interest, the interest increases and so do the payments… unless you pay ahead and lower the principle. This is fine though, because you can just go back to school and put your loans on hold for a while you get a better degree to get a better paying job to make more money to pay off your loans faster and live the kind of life you want to live and be prosperous. Let’s take a moment to realize the reality of this concept; this is not 1976 nor is it even close to 1987; student loans don’t have the payoff ability that they once had. They are not a surety in the future of investment of American business that they once were. Anyone can go to school, get a degree and enter the job market claiming they have knowledge in their field of study that makes them a more educated person and a better investment in a company’s future. The problem with this theory is that education is so wide spread and available to under qualified people, who can literally cheat their way through college and get a degree that they know nothing about.

Granted this is a difficult task with all the so called safeguards in place to prevent it from happening, however it does happen. It’s a very easy task to accomplish if you put your mind to it and use some constructive creativity, which brings into question how this can be done by people in positions of power, respect and authority. Who is held accountable for the misdealing of the persons in positions of trust? Who decides the outcome of the individual who propagated the misdeeds? When does the vicious cycle of abuse and corruption end? Does it end when we are given a 50/50 chance to gamble on our future; to put our own trust, hopes, and dreams into the hands of someone who is beguiling us with smoke and mirrors simply to fulfill a personal agenda? The person we trust to lie the least and take into account our own well-being? When does the abuse of the process stop; the mudslinging and shit talking becomes about truth, honesty, values, and a true commitment to the people who support your position. That given you do win the prophetical race, you do keep up your end of the bargain.

As an American, I vote for you. This is not me saying I choose you because you are the better of the two lesser people to choose from. This is me saying I want something you have to offer that matters to me, which you may have brought up one time or many, but have promised to fulfill for me and others like me who want the same things. I don’t choose you because I think you will do the least damage to our fair country, get us into the least amount of wars, destroy our economy and way of life the least compared to ‘the other guy.’ Nope, this is me saying I believe what you say, I trust in what you say, and I have faith that you will keep your word if you are chosen to be the person in charge. I am sick of being lied to about the greater good which ends up being the better bad. Quit telling me what I need and listen to what I want, stop making rules and laws that violate my choice to choose… no matter what the subject or issue may be. Lastly, stop pushing your morals, agenda, and beliefs down my throat; let me be the free American I was before I decided to choose you or the other guy.

We don’t put you in a position of power to change the way things are and make them worse; we elect you because we like the way things are and we want to make them better. Your job is to understand the difference between the two tasks and execute the one that has our best interests at heart.

Today, we are a free country with rights and liberties afforded to us by our forefathers. The same forefathers who saw the potential for this to happen and gave us undeniable rights to prevent it from happening as it happened to them. These rights are being threatened and you stand there with your hands in your pockets, doing nothing, advocating that everything will be ok and you have my best interests in mind when the facts reveal that you don’t.

When, as a united nation, do we stand up for what we believe in and hold valuable to ourselves, make a stand against radical and unnecessary change, and keep the inevitable from happening? When do we question the legitimacy of propaganda, questioning the course and potential of our own futures? It may be a long shot, but one day, instead of following the herd and doing what the masses do, we will educate ourselves and base our choices on fact and quality of character instead of popularity of the individual.
